Last quarter, the U.S. government issued a rare public warning that sophisticated hackers are targeting critical infrastructure organizations, with a special focus on energy and industrial firms. The Department of Homeland Security and FBI warned in a report distributed by email that critical infrastructure organizations have seen a dramatic increase in targeted attacks starting in May and continuing throughout 2017.
The report shared that hackers had succeeded in compromising some of their targets and conducting reconnaissance on their networks. Due to the sensitive nature of the targets, they will not release information to identify any specific victims.
This report, while jarring, is not a complete surprise. In the past two years, 68% of critical infrastructure organizations have experienced a security incident. The question is – what can you do to protect your organization?
In our upcoming webinar, Bradford Networks’ Matt Noon, VP of Sales Americas and critical infrastructure expert, will examine the highlights from the report and share some strategies for how to ensure you’re protected.
