Accounting Manager – Concord, NH

Responsibilities:

  • Perform day-to-day management of the general ledger including:
    • billing, and cash receipts and collections
    • payables and cash disbursements
    • payroll
    • sales order processing
    • revenue recognition
  • Drive a timely monthly close process and ensure the accuracy of financial transactions to include the reconciliation of general ledger accounts including cash, accounts receivable, prepaids, fixed assets, accounts payable, deferred revenue and accruals.
  • 1099 filing and reporting
  • Maintain fiscal files and records to document transactions
  • Audit preparation assistance
  • Perform general administrative along with Payroll and HR tasks as needed
  • Perform other ad hoc requests and special projects as needed

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or Accounting
  • Highly motivated self-starter who takes initiative
  • Hands on, detail oriented with the ability to multi-task and remain flexible under pressure with changing priorities
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
  • Team player with a willingness to learn and take on additional responsibilities
  • Software industry experience/ software revenue recognition understanding is a plus

Sales Engineer, Northeast/Boston

Our team is growing, and we’re seeking talented Sales Engineers to provide the primary technical resource for our Regional Sales Managers, and Account Executives. Bradford Networks’ Sales Engineers are responsible for actively driving and managing the technology evaluation stage of the sales process, working in conjunction with the sales team as the key technical adviser and product advocate for our solutions and services. The Sales Engineer must be able to articulate technology and product positioning to both business and technical users. Must be able to identify all technical issues accounts to assure complete customer satisfaction through all stages of the sales process. Must be able to establish and maintain strong relationships throughout the sales cycle.

  • Working with inside and outside sales representatives to qualify and close new and existing business
  • Enable partners and channels through technical insight, knowledge transfer sessions, and distribution of collateral.
  • Present the Bradford Networks security solution to prospects and customers via GoToMeeting, phone, and face-to-face
  • Quickly understand a prospects network environment and articulate how our security platform can be integrated to provide immediate value.
  • Research competitive solutions and positioning to assist sales in the close of business
  • Be a visible team player, bringing a competitive spirit and a winning attitude
  • Maintain information within Salesforce.com, and update each opportunity with information collected during the demonstrations and presentations.
  • Participate in sales strategy sessions with other sales team members, and create, and review presentation material.
  • Responsible for development and delivery of product demonstrations, and onsite Evaluations.
  • Responsible for representing the product to customers and at field events such as conferences, seminars, etc.
  • Able to respond to functional and technical elements of RFIs/RFPs
  • Able to convey customer requirements to Product Management team

Qualifications

Ideal candidate must be self-motivated with a proven track record in software sales and knowledge of technology. Comfortable in the dynamic atmosphere of a technical organization with a rapidly expanding customer base. Must possess strong presentation skills and be able to communicate professionally in written responses to emails, RFPs, and when submitting reports. Organized and analytical, able to eliminate sales obstacles through creative and adaptive approaches. Must be prepared for extensive travel.

  • 6+ years relevant experience within IT, Network Management, Security Operations, or Systems Administration.
  • Expert level knowledge of Layer 2/3 networking, TCP/IP, Linux OS.
  • Experience with Switch/Router/Wireless controller/Wireless Access Point/SEIM/IDS/IPS a plus. (configuration, operations, and diags)
  • Prior sales engineering experience is helpful.
  • Experience and familiarity of our solutions and line of business a plus
  • A B.S. in Computer Science or a related field is strongly preferred.  CCNA, CCNP, CISSP are a plus.
  • Must be self motivated, process aware, and maintain communication with team.
  • Should be “in-tune” about security technology solutions, challenges, and general positioning.
