"We run our dorms through a forced
scan once every 4 weeks just to make sure they have anti-virus
and anti-spyware programs in place, and that they are up-to-date.
Students are beginning to realize that if they keep current,
the scan doesn't take long. I can't tell you how many hours
Campus Manager has saved us.... but I know we would have had
to hire at least 2 more people in our dept. if we hadn't purchased
it!"

the fall semester would start with at least 2-3 weeks of inconsistent
network availability due to students bringing infected machines
from home and plugging them into our network. Faculty was told
not to rely on Internet, or even Intranet, resources until

last two years have totally eliminated this problem! We can't
even begin to estimate the cost-savings in terms of time saved,

"In September 2003, like most other
businesses and institutions, we got "blasted" by the Blaster
virus. It cost us many tens of thousands of dollars in technical
staff hours to clean up hundreds of student and college computers.
In looking for a way to prevent something like that from ever
happening again, we found Bradford Networks. Once we learned
of the features of Bradford Campus Manager, we were sold! It
was installed in December of 2003 and in production for the
student "move-in" in January 2004. It worked extremely well
and while student move-in days are always challenging, we no
longer have to worry about infected or un-patched systems connecting
to our network. It protects not only the college's resources;
it protects our students who might not be focused on securing
their own systems. If you have a campus or a business that
must permit "unknown" computers to attach directly to your
network, you need Campus Manager! "

"Before our investment in Bradford
Campus Manager (summer of 2004), Hollins University did not
have a reliable method to control or contain computers on our
student network. Each year we were faced with unreliable network
access and an onslaught of issues, resulting in a higher than
normal workload for our IT staff. Once we deployed Bradford
Campus Manager, we immediately were able to gain control of
our network. The IT staff now has time to focus on more important
IT issues and not the worms/viruses that the students brought
with them. We have also found that Bradford Campus Manager
is a valuable tool to help with asset inventory, control, and
recovery, by being able to search for the MAC address and easily
establish its location down to the switch port. There was certainly
a positive return on our investment in this solution! "

you have given us so far and let you know the Campus Manager
has been a blessing and a success to us this year. We have
had a VERY smooth opening to ReseNet this year with viruses
just being a background issue. Here is our current status,
which is amazing.
Over 1400 computers are Registered and Virus
free!!! The Registered (computers) have installed Symantec
Managed Antivirus and are checking into our management server.
We have over 90% of our residential students
online already and we are only a week and a half into school.
Add to that viruses are not impacting the network at all this
year. That is amazing! Thanks !!!"

"It's Sunday at 8:30 am and I am at
the Help Desk and there are NO MESSAGES on the lines we use.
I also left here at 6:30 pm last night. This may seem mundane
to you, but - in the 6 years since I took over as the manager
of support, I have NEVER been home before dark on Labor Day
weekend....I have hardly even gotten HOME! Believe me, on a
weekend that students have returned to school, there has NEVER
been a morning with no calls to return! We registered about
470 students yesterday - all but 9 made it through scanning
and remediating. We were able to talk all but 5 through the
process, and got everyone in "Registration Hell" out by talking
them through it over the phone. Although our ears and voices
were cracking last night, our sneakers were not burning from
trekking across campus, and up and down ten flights of stairs
all day. I may actually get to have a life this fall. Thanks
you all so much for your help and patience over the last three
weeks."
