Network security specialist Bradford Networks adopts two-tier channel model for the first time with Siracom distribution deal

Wifi and mobile security challenges driving demand for Network Access Control

London, UK – Network security specialist Bradford Networks has signed a deal with value added distributor Siracom as it moves to develop a two-tier channel distribution model for the first time in the UK. Siracom will focus on Bradford’s market-leading Network Sentry platform, the first network security solution that can identify and profile all mobile devices and users on a network, and its technology leadership in Network Access Control (NAC).

With experience and expertise in advanced networking technologies, Siracom will provide Bradford with access to over 200 resellers armed with first-class technical skills and knowledge. Basingstoke-based Siracom will deliver consultancy, implementation and integration services, and post-sales support, as well as skilling up its top 20 resellers to become tier one systems integrators.

As a distributor for Wifi infrastructure specialist Meru Networks, the partnership with Bradford – also a Meru technology partner – means that Siracom and its resellers can offer a comprehensive solution for the first time to organisations looking to manage and secure their WLANs and tackle the challenge of mobile device security.

“We’re seeing a huge take up of Wifi at the moment,” says Siracom’s Managing Director, David Thompson. “The education sector has always been ahead of the pack, but the rest of the field is now catching up and we’re seeing lots of opportunities in new markets like healthcare, warehousing, logistics and enterprises.

“But with widespread Wifi adoption comes challenges, none more so than security and control. Once you open the door, you need to protect the entrance – and with our go-to-market NAC offering, we believe we can do this. We look forward to working as Bradford’s first value added distributor and taking the Network Sentry and NAC message out to our reseller community.”

Bradford, which also works with major partners Khipu Networks and EAC in the UK, will provide Siracom with training, accreditation and access to certified Bradford technicians.
