Bradford Networks was founded in 1999 to provide customized
engineering development services for telecomm equipment manufacturers,
leveraging the network management software design expertise
of the founders. In early 2001, Bradford developed a unique
solution to enhanced control of network devices and began
validating their concept and architecture with IT directors,
listening intently to the real problems and frustrations IT
teams faced daily.
By late 2001, Bradford Networks had a prototype of the product
now known as Campus Manager, a port-based tool to monitor
and control network clients and devices, and demonstrated
the product to schools and universities needing new network
access control solutions to secure and automate management
of their student residence networks.
The tremendous reaction of these initial customers to Campus
Manager transformed Bradford Networks and in 2002 Bradford
transitioned to a product-focused company - developing, marketing
and selling Campus Manager to educational institutions in the
U.S. and Europe.
Over the next four years the company has earned
the trust and business of hundreds of new customers, has expanded
and enhanced Campus Manager to keep pace with the rapidly evolving
security needs of schools and universities, and has built a
highly responsive, customer-centric organization and culture.
