CONCORD, NH – Bradford Networks, the leading provider of advanced network access control (NAC) solutions, today announced it has been positioned by Gartner, Inc. as a “Visionary” in Gartner’s first Magic Quadrant for Network Access Control.
Gartner evaluated 18 NAC vendors on their completeness of vision and ability to execute for the “Magic Quadrant for Network Access Control.” In the report, Gartner estimates that the NAC market grew at 51 percent between 2007 and 2008, and is approximately $221 million.
The report noted that NAC is commonly used for guest network services, endpoint baselining, identity-aware networking and monitoring/containment. Trends such as the consumerization of IT are increasing demands to allow unmanaged PCs onto corporate networks. Deployments to support guest networking can easily be expanded to deal with employee access from guest PCs.
