[CampusManager] Device Link Down

The Device Link Down event is generated because Campus Manager has received
a Port Link
Down event on a port that the device did not tell us existed when we created
ports for that device.

We've seen the same thing on some HP switches, like I mentioned on the
phone, and it looks
like Vertical Horizon has a problem with their firmware.

To stop these unusable events from filling up your Campus Manager Event Log,
go to the
Topology view, select Campus Manager, and open the Event Management view.
Scroll down
until you find Device Link Down, select Disable, then hit Apply to stop that
event from being
generated. This will not affect the legitimate Port Link Down events that
Campus Manager uses
for client monitoring.

The problem should be identified to the hardware manufacturer and we would
be glad to provide
you with the proper information if you chose to take that route. Hardware
vendors are becoming
more responsive to us as our customer base grows.
