Help
Prompted by chronic network problems related to new user registrations at the start of each semester coupled with a requirement to enforce and automate school standards and policies as they applied to student machines, IT and security officials at the Columbia University Medical Center decided to implement a Network Access Control (NAC) pilot program. As the only vendor to meet the requirements defined for the pilot, Bradford Networks’ Campus Manager NAC solution was deployed. Following a highly successful pilot deployment in which calls to the Campus Help Desk were reduced by over 67% using Bradford’s solution, Campus Manager was ultimately selected to support the Medical Center’s Information Commons, Core Resources and the Security groups that manage the residence networks.
“With our pilot NAC program in place using Bradford Campus Manager to authenticate and monitor users and their devices, our Help Desk calls related to initial network registration were reduced by 2/3 over the same period in prior years – that alone was a significant benefit”
